Kgoro Gateway Ideally Located Offices To Let In Sandton CBD

Kgoro Gateway will consist of a mixed-use art precinct developed around a public square, situated above the new Sandton Public Transport Interchange (PTI). The project is intended as the city centre in Sandton, Johannesburg. The site is flanked by Rivonia Road (east), West Street (north) and 5th Street (south). The Sandton PTI consists of the existing Sandton taxi rank (relocated to this site), the metered-taxi holding area, the Gautrain Bus Services, and the Sandton Gautrain Station and associated Parkade. The Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) and Metro Bus services will operate on Rivonia Road to the east of Kgoro. Kgoro will be the first point of entry for international visitors from OR Tambo International Airport via the Gautrain airport service. Kgoro is the gateway to a new perspective on urban Johannesburg. This foremost Afropolitan meeting place will confront and transcend long-held perceptions, redefining its location and guiding visitors to a new understanding of the urban public space. Destined to be the most vibrantly inclusive spot in the city, this is where cultures, generations, professions and interests will overlap. It’s a dynamic event space that will linger in the memory of those who experience it. Kgoro is the experiential playground of contemporary urbanites in Johannesburg. The Sandton Gautrain Station is set to be a catalyst of phenomenal development in the city. And Kgoro, a new public square and commercial development, is situated directly above the station, perfectly located to take advantage of this. Kgoro houses the most integrated example of a formalised Public Transit Interchange node on the African continent, where commuters may comfortably change between private, bus, rapid-rail and/or taxi transport. Most importantly, it links to OR Tambo International Airport. Kgoro is the stage on which the stories of urban life unfold. It’s where celebrations are held, social and economic exchanges between locals and foreigners alike take place, urbanites go to meet friends and hang out, and people of all cultures mix. Historically, town squares were where natural exchanges took place through the sharing of common interests. Likewise, Kgoro Square will draw a diverse population – young and old, rich and poor, foreign and local, residents and visitors. It’s where the intermingling of people will fully realise the modern value of an Afropolitan society. Any society’s ethos can be ‘read’ in its visual media. The Kgoro Contemporary Art Museum is the primary space for this civic expression through various public events. It’s a rich resource that reflects Afropolitan life. A city’s architecture is its backdrop. The layers of architecture that give identity to Kgoro focus on place-making and identity rather than style: the buildings are less about statements than they are about promoting public urban life. From a retail perspective, Kgoro’s street-level stores are already active and their occupancy fast-growing. These stores are targeted at commuters, professionals and pedestrians, and skirt the Kgoro Central development on West Street and Rivonia Road. The heart of the development is Kgoro square and its periphery, which includes Kgoro West’s and Rivonia’s ground levels. These will host a mix of retail offerings that will define the square’s personality and will cater to both visitors and residents alike. Kgoro’s Rivonia wing will house a mix of office, retail and luxury residential components, while the Central, North, 5th Street and South Towers will largely be demand driven, offering hospitality, office and retail functions, with some residential capacity.
